Meet the Team
Dr. Al Martinez
In June 1992, Dr. Al Martinez obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with high honours in Chemistry and Biochemistry. In 1996, he also received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto. Dr. Al Martinez is the recipient of a series of prestigious awards from the U of T Faculty of Dentistry.
Since graduation, he has lived in the Kitchener/Waterloo area with his family.
From 2005 to 2008 he completed a unique CE residency in Biomaterials and Implant Reconstructive Dentistry. During this time he conducted research on the implant Endopore implant system and completed this program with a high degree of proficiency.

Dr. Shayne Degen
Dr. Shayne Degen graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an HBSC in Chemistry in 1997 followed by a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2001. Dr. Shayne Degen then continued to add to his training by completing numerous comprehensive continuing education curriculums. He has a special interest in Orthodontics and enjoys providing patients with both conventional and Invisalign treatment options.
Dr. Shayne Degen grew up in the Kitchener/Waterloo area and joined Glasgow Dental in 2001 following graduation. Currently, he resides in Elora with his wife and 2 children.
